The digital revolution has led to new ways of thinking about traditional methods, and has generated the introduction of entirely new disciplines. One of these is image restoration.

Using modern digital scanners, in conjunction with Photoshop, we can now perform repairs of old photographs, paintings, and other works of art that simply could not be done before.

While Photoshop software is available to any technician who wants it, relatively few have the skill and talent to perform at this level. The reason is simple: Much of this work crosses over from the technical to the artistic. And like all true art, some people can do it and some people cannot—and much of it cannot be taught.

National Geographic Imaging is fortunate to have such talent on its staff. If you have similar requirements, please give us a call. Each job is quoted on a case-by-case basis, after we have reviewed your material and determined the amount of work to be done.
