Extraordinary images require extraordinary skill and care

National Geographic Society was founded in 1888. During our long history, we have had the privilege of working with many of the most memorable photographic images ever produced. Because of this, we know what good images look like and we apply that respect and knowledge to all aspects of our work. Whether it is color balance, density, or sharpening, our focus will always be on what we can do to make each image the best it can be.

save_your_archive Much of American visual history is in great danger of being lost. Photographs, transparencies, maps, and printed text are fading from exposure to air and light. With the right equipment and staff, much of this material can be digitized and saved for future generations. National Geographic Imaging has assembled the team and equipment to accomplish this task.
